Have you just recently gotten engaged? Well then you probably already know or will soon find out just how much it takes to plan a wedding. Your first job will be choosing your wedding party. This may sound easy enough but if you are close to several people it can be hard to choose. After that is out of the way you then have to start looking at wedding dresses and gowns for the brides maids.

You then have to choose what the groomsmen and the groom will be wearing. Then comes the time to pick a DJ or a band for the wedding reception. You can’t forget about the flowers. You have to choose what type and color flowers you want in the bouquets, the decorations, and the centerpieces on the reception tables. You also have to pick your food and drinks.

You may want to have coffee served at your reception. If you plan to have coffee served at the reception you are going to need a big coffee maker not something small like a 4 cup coffee maker. If the wedding is going to be small with just a few close friends and family you might be able to get by with a small coffee maker but you may want to have a bigger one just in case you need it.

You also have to choose the type of food you want served and how you want it served. You can either have individual plates of food served at the tables for each guest or you could choose to go with a buffet type menu. This is a great idea because you can cook many different things so every guest can find at least a couple things they like to eat.

You could get a roasting pan that can be set on a warmer so that the food will be served hot. You don’t want the food to end up cold before everyone eats. You can find these pans at just about any store or buy them online for great prices.

The rings can not be forgotten about. I’m sure you will see many styles of wedding bands for men and for women before the rings are actually chosen. The maid of honor will have to plan a bridal shower for the bride to be and the best man has to plan a bachelor party for the groom to be.

Bachelor party usually makes people think of alcohol and strippers. However these days the bachelor parties are usually stripper free. The last thing on your long list of things to do is register for your wedding gifts at a store of your choice.
